We’d like to build on the momentum of 2024’s shows by mounting one or two productions in the upcoming months. Last year, we did a traditional music and drama workshop presentation that was a great opportunity for both actors and directors to hone their craft. And pre-pandemic, we normally did a full-length drama or small-cast musical that was performed in the February-March timeframe. We’d love to hear from people who would like to be Artistic Director for each of these. For the workshop that involves organizing acts such as music (singing or instrumental), one-act plays, cuttings, scenes, or monologues, for single performers or small groups. For a full-length show, that means proposing a specific show and then following through with all the normal director’s activities. Time is tight (particularly for the latter), so you’ll need to let us know quickly if you are interested so we can expedite the organization. Please at least send a message to the board madboard@madtheater.org by November 30 letting us know your interest and what you have in mind. We can work things out with you to draw on expertise and help with the planning. This is a great time to build on the success of 2024.
