As you can see, MAD finally has a new face on the Web. We’ve recognized for some time that we needed a fresh look up front and newer technology behind the scenes. What you see is the first stage, mostly addressing the public areas of the site. The members area is unchanged for now, but we will be working on a renewal there and will be further adjusting what we’ve already done. Inputs are welcome—send it to webmaster@madtheater.org.
News items like this will appear automatically as their creation has been streamlined using a content management system. Show staff will be able to create items directly and dated content will get archived rather than deleted for future reference.
A few featured photos will be showcased directly on the site and will focus on current and upcoming productions. Links will still be provide to MAD’s SmugMug photo archive.
The ability to sign up either to participate or just to be notified of performances will be available as before, but will directly update our mailing lists and databases.
Work on the new site is being done by Ryan Power and Randy Barth. They look forward to hearing from you about your experience and ideas.
