MAD Winter Show Call for Proposals

The weather is getting cooler, the cast of “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” is singing about snow, and it is time to start thinking about the MAD Winter Show. Traditionally, MAD does a comedy or drama stage play, or a small-cast musical, with a performance run in February or March. A potential Director can submit a proposal for one to three possible shows. The proposal can include a short description of the Director’s vision for the show, and how it would work for the MAD club. Naming a proposed Producer is optional, and a proposal for small-cast musicals can optionally name the Music Director and Choreographer. It is best not to name more members of the production team, as that can interfere with setting up a Show Selection Committee. The proposal should include the script(s).

If you would like to submit a partial proposal, or if you have an idea for a production that doesn’t fit in the traditional Winter Show box, the MAD Board would like to hear any ideas you have.

Send your proposal by email to president@madtheater.org. Proposals received by October 3 will receive full consideration by the Show Selection Committee.
